Achtung: Im "Merkblatt Kaninchen Typ Widder", Bearbeitungsstand vom 02.08.2024, werden keine Belege für die enthaltenen "möglichst knappen Informationen" angegeben. Diese basieren vorrangig auf ausgesuchten Beobachtungen im tierärztlichen Alltag ("real world evidence"), die für sich allein genommen als Nachweis kausaler Zusammenhänge ungeeignet sind. Ohne robuste Datengrundlage (und unter Missachtung relevanter Literatur mit gegensätzlichen Erkenntnissen) ist eine verallgemeinerte, abschließende Bewertung von Hängeohren als Qualzuchtmerkmal beim Hauskaninchen - so wie im Merkblatt vorgenommen - nicht möglich.
